To commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence, Smart Cities Mission had planned numerous events across 100 Smart Cities 2021 as part of the celebrations called Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) with the values of ‘health, safety and self-empowerment for all’.
In support of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Jalandhar Smart city organized various events from September 26, 2021 to 3 October, 2021.On 27th September 2021 Jalandhar smart city organized junior walk and cycle ride to encourage cycling and walking among children in the city.
To identify young talent, 10 Junior Walk Champions and 10 Junior Bicycle Champions were selected and awarded with certificates and medals. The medals were awarded by CEO Jalandhar Smart city Cum Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, Karnesh Sharma. All the other participants were provided with appreciation certificates and refreshments.
